Club Dress Code

The Club operates a relaxed but smart dress code on and off the course at all times.  It is in all our interests to maintain reasonable standards of casual but smart dress in keeping with golfing traditions.

GENERAL

  • Members and guests must not use the car park for changing their clothes. Please use the changing rooms provided (these have secure entry doors, please ascertain the entry code from the Professional Shop).
  • Changing of shoes is permitted in the car park.
  • All hats/visors must be removed on entry to the clubhouse.

GOLF COURSE

  • Recognised golfing attire must be worn, in an appropriate and tidy manner (no garments with holes in please).
  • Men: trousers/shorts are to be tailored; cargo trousers/shorts are not acceptable.
  • Ladies: dresses, skirts, skorts, shorts, ¾ lengths, trousers and golf branded leggings are acceptable.
  • All sock lengths and colours are acceptable.
  • If a peaked cap is worn, we would like to see it worn with the peak facing forwards.
  • Rugby shirts, football shirts, tee shirts, track suits, jeans and trainers will not be permitted on the course or practice facilities.

CLUBHOUSE

  • Golf and smart casual attire may be worn in the Clubhouse including smart jeans and trainers. Shorts are permitted (as per golf course); however, after play in club events/matches that food has been arranged for, please change into trousers. If there is to be a variation of this, it needs to be agreed prior to the event.
  • Jeans must not be frayed or torn and no trousers to be worn below the waistline.
  • Rugby shirts, football shirts, tee shirts and track suits will not be permitted in the clubhouse.
  • Waterproof clothing and jackets are to be stored in the changing rooms or cloak room provided.
  • Wet or soiled clothing/footwear will not be permitted in the club lounges or function/meeting suites.

MOBILE PHONES

Mobile phones may be used to receive or make audio or video calls in the Clubhouse, however, please be sensitive to other users of the clubhouse and if convenient use the lobby area, changing rooms or terrace.

We hope you enjoy Basingstoke Golf Club and thank you for respecting our rules.
